Physicians Formula Happy Booster Glow & Mood Boosting Blush in Pink

Hey gals! Today I'm reviewing the Physicians Formula Happy Booster Glow & Mood Boosting Blush in Pink. I have been wanting to try this blush for a long time since it first came out so I was super happy to find this on sale for about $8 CAD. I have never seen this blush lower than $13 here...pretty insane price difference comparing to the U.S.

The packaging is super pretty. The hearts in the blush are the cutest thing about this product and the main reason I got it. lol

This product comes with a brush but to be honest I haven't actually used it. :)
Blush swatched two times
Pros:
  • Pretty packaging, too cute hearts in the blush
  • Gives a really natural color to the cheeks...suitable for everyday and natural makeup look
  • Has this sheen to the powder which can brighten up your look
Cons:
  • Pigmentation - it's not going to give you a really dramatic flush on the cheeks.
Overall, I'm still pretty happy to own this product but I wouldn't repurchase because I have many other blushes with similar color.

CandyDoll Cheek Color in Strawberry Pink: Swatches and Comparison

Here is my review of the most hyped CandyDoll blush in Strawberry Pink. This product is from Koji's CandyDoll line produced by the lovely and kawaii Tsubasa Masuwaka.

The packaging is really kawaii and the reason that made me get this in the first place. XD The color looks like a neon magenta pink.

Here's e.l.f. Studio Blush in Pink Passion (which I purchased at eyeslipsface.com) next to CandyDoll Blush in Strawberry Pink. In the pan you can clearly tell that the CandyDoll blush has a darker and more magenta hue.

The color different is not as noticeable on the skin. There micro glitter tint that my camera picked up on the CandyDoll blush which is very subtle and barely noticeable.

The CandyDoll blush is a lot more pigmented than the e.l.f. blush. One swatch of the CandyDoll blush (on the right) is equivalent to 2 to 3 swatches of the e.l.f. blush in Pink Passion. I really like CandyDoll's packaging but the plastic lid has come off twice already though it still can be easily put back in. It is sold around $15 to $19 USD online.

eBay 28 Color Blush Palette Review and Swatches

I buy a lot of stuff from eBay and makeup is no exception. This 28 color blush palette is sold by many sellers on eBay and you can also find this on third party vendor sites.

When I first got this palette one of the blushes broke just when I opened it. >.> But I managed to press it back in. You might have probably guessed it's the second pink color top row.

As you can see the ones on eBay don't have labels on the case cover.

Swatches - top row, first 3 colors of the first row of the palette. Bottom row, first 3 colors of the second row of the palette.

Swatches - top row, 4 colors of the first column of the palette. Bottom row, colors of the last row of the palette.

Pros:
  • Affordable and free shipping. I remember getting this for around 8 USD and it's price is slightly lower now around 7.50 USD.
  • Good pigmentation and color variety. There 28 different colors to choose from in this palette so there's should be at least one color that you would like from this palette.
  • The palette is compact and thin. It's easy to store and does not take a lot of space.

Cons:
  • Chalky texture. I find most of the blushes chalky. Some are too chalky/dusty making them difficult to blend.

Conclusion: I would not recommend this palette if you are looking for a quality product that you would reach everyday. The chalky texture of the blush makes it somewhat unpleasant to use. But if you are looking to experiment with different colors then this would be a good palette to try.
