My Go to Red Lipsticks for Fall

Hey lovelys,

I'm back writing about my go to red lipsticks for fall. They are all affordable and I think the color and pigmentation are great so I really recommend these:

Wet n Wild Velvet Red, Wet n Wild Spotlight Red, NYX Round Lipstick Snow White
I while ago I discovered Wet n Wild Megalast Lip Color at my local drug store. They are somewhat of a suede and matte finish but they are super pigmented and I have to say between the Velvet Red and Spotlight Red they look very similar that I would just get the Velvet Red because it looks more vibrant on the lips. NYX Snow White is probably one of the best dark red lipsticks I've ever used. It just looks fabulous. I think it goes really well with like a black shirt or cardigan. It really makes your look stand out. What's your go to lipstick?

Models Own Lipstick in LS003 Baby Pink

Hey dolls, I am reviewing the Models Own Lipstick in Baby Pink which I got from a kit from ASOS a while back. This is my first and only Models Own lipstick and it's actually a really useful lipstick.

The packaging is really cute. I like that the tube is seen through but it's also really sturdy plastic.

Really lovely baby pink label but the actual lipstick is way lighter.

As you can tell from the swatch the pink is really light. It almost looks white on my lips. But I find the it pretty pigmented and it actually works really well to lighten some of my other lipsticks to make it a new lip color. It's a surprise workaround that I am loving.

What is your makeup workaround?

Tina

CoverGirl Lip Perfection Lipstick in Divine

Hey gals! I love lip colors that are different and this lipstick is a complete surprise. The CoverGirl Lip Perfection Lipstick in Divine is purple color with cream finish.

Swatch - one swipe
Pros:
  • Super pigmented and unique color
  • Affordable but comparable to high end lipsticks
  • Feels really lightweight on the lips but doesn't make dry out lips
Cons:
  • Stains lips
  • Color changes to red when worn over time
I am surprised by how good lipstick is. It's definitely worth a try! What is your most surprisingly good drugstore lipstick?

Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids Lipcolor in Fuchsia Flash and Hot Plum: Swatches and Review

Hello lovelys! Hope your first days of summer have been wonderful! I want to start the summer with a review of the Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids line of lipsticks in Fuchsia Flash and Hot Plum. These colors are different than the usual drugstore lipsticks and  the colors just 'pop' on your lips.

The lipsticks are in this bright orange tube. :0

I was looking for a neon magenta lipstick and I couldn't decide which one of the two colors to get so I ended up getting both. Fuchsia Flash is definitely more pink than Hot Plum. I would say Fuchsia Flash is more of a hot pink and Hot Plum is more of a purple hot pink. But from looking at the swatches and on my lips these two colors seem very close. Fuchsia Flash is more neon than Hot Plum but Hot Plum is more pigmented than Fuchsia Flash. Both of the lipsticks smell kind of like vanilla.

Pros:
  • Bright, really beautiful colors
  • Non-streaky with a glossy finish so you can just wear this alone without a lipgloss on top
Cons:
  • Availability - for some reason these colors are sold out in some stores. lol Consider these cost about $7 ~ $10 CAD it's selling like hot cakes
  • Not as pigmented as I expected because of the gloss finish
  • Fragrance - I wasn't too much of a fan of the vanilla scent of the lipstick

Overall, I like the Fuchsia Flash shade better than Hot Plum because it looks more neon on my lips but both are pretty awesome colors.

Until next time!

Tina

Collective Haul #4 - June

Hey gals! I have been doing quite a lot of shopping lately mainly because the weather is finally getting warmer and I wanted to revamp my accessories and beauty products.

First off, I got three pairs of sunglasses Ardene because they all look really awesome...couldn't decide which one to get but since they were on sale I might as well just get them cause I break them often. lol

The first one has these cool pink thunder bolts hanging from the sides and they look like I have earrings when I wear them!

This one has crosses on the rim of the frame...very unique take on the classic wayfarer sunglasses. I just look awesome in it.

This one I thought was cool because the frame is all matte and the yellow kind of remind me of my school colors. :)

Nail ridge filler. I am guilty of uneven nails so I hope this works. lol

Purple lipstick. I have worn this in one of my recent pics on Instagram...love this color.

This is a blush I've always wanted to try and I finally got it for about $8 CAD.

My face gets shiny during the day so I can never get enough of mattifying products lol.

I have seen a lot of bloggers and Youtubers raving about the Maybelline Vivids lipsticks. I finally got them and will be doing a review of it really soon!

New Wet n Wild lip products I saw in stores. The bright pink color is what made me get this. Review of this coming soon.

I was on a lipstick craze and wanted to find my favorite neon pink and red lipstick. So I got this and I was not disappointed! Reviews coming up!

I dropped by Bath and Body Works got these products at 75% off. I like their shower gels and handwash the most.

Collective Haul #3 - April and May

Hey lovelys, I want to share my haul for the past two months. Most of the products are totally new to me and I was really excited to try them.

NYX Ultra Pearl Mania
First off, I got the NYX Loose Pearl Eyeshadow in White Pearl. It's a really pretty and essential shade that I put on my upper and lower inner corners. I first discovered this on eBay and I was super happy to find that my local drug store actually carried this brand and I got this on clearance for $2 CAD lol.

The Body Shop Shower Gels - Satsuma, Pink Grapefruit, Mango, Strawberry
Next up, I got four shower gels from The Body Shop. I can never get enough shower gels...switching them up make my day more exciting lol.

Bath & Body Works Twisted Peppermint Fine Body Mist
I am totally in love with the Twisted Peppermint line from Bath and Body Works. I know it was from the holiday season but while I was shopping I discovered a Bath and Body Works Outlet and this was 75% off (I believe it was $3.50 CAD).

St. Ives Naturally Clear Green Tea Scrub
St. Ives Naturally Clear Green Tea Scrub is a product I have repurchased many times. It's non irritating on my skin and it exfoliates really well without making my skin more oily after an hour or so of use. The St. Ives Apricot Scrubs didn't work for me because it was too abrasive but didn't cleanse my oily combination skin properly. I highly recommend this one to try if you found the grains in the Apricot Scrubs were a bit too harsh on your skin.

Nivea Aqua Effect Mattifying Day Care
I have combination skin and my t-zone gets especially oily in the summer. I found this new product at my local drugstore and I thought I'd give it a try. I have yet found my HG moisturizer. A lot of stuff that I have tried just clogs my pores or breaks me out or it simply just doesn't do anything to my skin...

Burt's Bees Refreshing Lip Balm with Pink Grapefruit
I saw this while randomly browsing at Shopper's Drug Mart. I haven't seen them carry this product before so I thought I'd give this a try.

Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation

Rimmel Clean Finish Foundation
Lastly, I got the Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation in Soft Beige and Rimmel Clean Finish Foundation in 250 Classic Beige. I am trying to find a good drugstore alternative now that I am halfway done Kiehl's Ultra Facial Tinted Moisturizer and I thought I'd give these a try. I will be doing a comparison of these two foundations. :)

What products are you the most excited to try? If you have any questions about the products ask away! Get updates on my Twitter and Instagram!

Tina

Etude House Shini Star Lip Balm #5 Guava Review

Got my hands on the Shini Star lip balm in Taemin's pick, #5 Guava, from Etude House's Shinee Special Edition line. I really like the concept of having a singer's autograph and personal comment on the inside of a lip balm container. The packaging is cute and reminds me of the Shiseido MAJOLICA MAJORCA Puff de Cheek Blush.

The lip balm is almost like a lip gloss. It is very glossy as you can see and shiny no pun intended. In the container the lip balm is a pretty opaque baby pink but the color does not really show once you swipe it. As you can see from the swatch there is a slight nude pink color but it doesn't show on my lips. It also smells like pink bubble gum tape.

Pros:
  • Cute packaging and interesting concept with the product design
  • If you are a Shinee fan you have to get it because you get their signature at the bottom, each color of lip balm corresponds to different member.
  • Can be a lip gloss
Cons:
  • Barely there color and pigmentation
  • Feels somewhat heavy on the lips

I would get this if you want your favorite Shinee's signature. The lip gloss is okay and for this color it didn't really show up on my lips but who am I kidding get your favorite Shinee star's color! :p

Which color would you pick?

Thanks for reading!
